New Feature — Nearby Cities

We are pleased to announce you can now search nearby cities directly from your tieclip app.

Once you've clipped an item from your home city (e.g. Seattle), simply tell Tieclip to include nearby Craigslists by adding them to your filter.

Additionally, when you like an item item, Tieclip will include the nearby cities in when searching for more matches.

You can try it out live, right now. You might be surprised how many Craigslists you've been missing right in your own backyard. Think of the deals to be had!

There are a couple of invites remaining, so if you still need an account you're in luck. Just remember to use code LOREMIPSUM.

New Feature — Like/Dislike items

We've just added the ability to like and dislike items, making filtering to what you want a whole lot easier.

It's also kinda fun.

When you like an item it gets moved to the the top blue section, and when you dislike an item it drops away. Pretty straight forward.

Right now it's mainly useful for remember what items you liked best, and cleaning up your folder if it gets too cluttered. In the future, the feedback will be run back through the tieclip robot to help improve the relevance of our results, so vote early and vote often.

Anyone have any special requests for the next feature up for consideration?

Printable full page Tieclip infotainmentadvertisment!

Ever been at a party, and someone says:

Hey, you seem like a hip, happening kinda guy. You got the inside scoop on any up-and-coming webapps?

And you really wished you could run away--because seriously, who would ask someone that at a party--but you wanted to be sure to let them know all about the awesomeness that is Tieclip?

Conundrum no more. For we have created a nice, printable infotainmentadvertisment that you can wad up in a little ball and throw at him over your shoulder as you beat a hasty retreat.

Print one out for your fridge, local phone-poll, or even your next PTA meeting. The sky's the limit when I'm trying to come up with interesting places for you to shove a full-page advertisement for my website.

Anyway, have fun, and be safe out there:

New Feature — URL Clipping

By popular demand, you can now clip items by pasting an item URL! Because when we ask for feedback, gosh darn-it we listen.

You can check it out live if you have an account here: https://tiecliphq.com/mystuff/new
Tieclip: Now with 100% more copy-pasting
Although, to be honest, I still think the bookmarklet is way cooler. That being said, if you do find yourself in a situation where you don't want to or can't install a bookmark for some reason, you now have another way to get at the awesomeness that is Tieclip.

Incidentally, this means you can now use the site on any device (e.g. iPad, iPhone, Android, etc.) so go nuts!

And please, keep that feedback coming.
